Use Google’s Language For A More Effective Search
In order to get the most out of a search using Google, you first must understand the “language” Google uses in it’s searches of the internet. Most of the time Google can determine what you are looking for by the way it it interprets your search intent. It will try to tell what you want to find by your words and by what it feels is your intent in your search b the way it is worded. Many people type in what they want to find and Google is very good at figuring out what it is you intend to find.
However, Google is programmed with a fascinating and very powerful set of search operators and other commands in a syntax that Google is programmed to understand, it’s language so to speak. These operators such as the wildcard * and the plus+ and negative signs can help in your searches by giving more specific directions to Google to give you better results. The tighter your search querry you enter into the Google search box, the better your results will be.

For example, if you need to find information you know is published on the web in a PDF file format, you can use the command filetype:pdfsearch term, and it will find that search term only in PDF form. This is a very powerful command and can find all types of files, PDF,.txt,.ppt and many others. It can find Power Point Files, Excel spreadsheet files, Word document files and others.
